Research Center for Rural Population and Health

The Research Center for Rural Population and Health is a scientific study institution, directly under the management of Thai Binh Medical University. The center has been established in accordance with the Decisions 9675/K2DT granted by Minister of Ministry of Health, and the Decision 535/YTB-QD of Director of Thai Binh Medical University.

Personnel of  Research Center for Rural Population and Health

There are 20 researchers working at the center and 20 collaborators co-operating with the center. Among the reseachers are 1 professor, 4 associate professors, 3 PhDs in public health health, 7 Masters in public health health, anthropology and sociology.

Implemented projects

Center For Environment and Health Studies (CEHS) has many year experiences in development and implementation of research, evaluation about service quality, Implement basic surveys and studies on population and health in rural areas, Set up intervention models on community to control population growth and deliver health care for people in rural areas, Study international and national technological and scientific achievements in population and health and put them into practice in rural areas of Vietnam, Provide information and consultation on population, population control, health and health care for rural areas, Co-operate with different inside and outside-of-the country organizations and individuals to conduct various scientific researches on population, family planning, and rural health

Center for Environment and Health Studies has many experient years in working and has relationship to many domestic and foreign organizations such as, UNICEF, SIDA, IHCAR, FHI, WHO, PATH, UNFPA, Care, ACCF, MSI, ADB, FAO, WB, GIZ, ITI, DKT, DFID, JICA, UNILEVER Viet Nam, Finland Ministry of Foreign Afairs, MOH, MOET and many other international organizations in Vietnam.

The head-office of the Center is located on 373 Ly Bon Street, Thai Binh city, Thai Binh Province, Viet Nam. The Center has 1 Land Cruise handed over from FHI; 10 computers, 1 photocopy machines, 1 fax machines, website and other equipment ready for implementation of studies
