Project description (in brief):
The project was conducted in Thai Binh.
The purpose of the project was to improve the awareness and behavior of women and girls aged 11-14 on cervical cancer in the project sites, reduce the rate of women with cervical cancer through the IEC activities, screening and treatment of abnormal cases.
Practical work done by the institution’s staff:
- Design and print communication materials, and write news on cervical cancer for communication
- Organize the IEC activities for the people
- Distributing leaflets and hanging posters at the schools, organize the extracurricular talks at the schools.
- Compile materials and train in screening and diagnosis methods for the health workers
- Organize screening, colposcopy, biopsy and diagnostic pathology for the suspected cases.
- Processing data and writing report.
