Project description (in brief):
The consulting service was conducted in 8 provinces of the South Central Coast Region. The objectives are to implement IEC program on health and nutrition and conduct 4 policy studies on increasing the accessability of the poor to quality health services.
Practical work done by the institution’s staff:
- Need assessment on IEC and policy study on increasing the access of the poor to quality health services
- Develop an IEC program on reproductive health and nutrition targetting the poor/ ethnic minorities
- Develop IEC materials on reproductive health and nutrition
- Develop a manual of instructions for organizing such an IEC program at community level
- Training and testing IEC program
- Supervising and technical assisting IEC program
- Conduct participatory monitoring of project interventions related to increasing access to quality health care for the poor and ethnic minorities, in both aspects: availability of quality services and financial barriers.

Assessment of social condom marketing and private-state cooperation in social condom marketing

 

The consulting service is conducted in 8 cities/provinces. The objectives are to assess the social condom marketing and cooperation of private and state units in social condom marketing under the VietNam HIV/AIDS Prevention Project.

Development and Delivery of Training Modules for Improvement of Planning and Management Skills of Provincial and District Health Staff

 

The consulting service is conducted in Cao Bang and Bac Kan. The objectives are to enhance knowledge of staff at provincial and district levels regarding management and planning for the poor to more effectively and better manage health financing areas for the poor in the project sites of Cao Bang and Bac Kan.

Baseline survey on the second greater Mekong Subregion Regional Communicable Diseases Control Project

 

The project was conducted in 20 provinces of Viet Nam. The objectives of the consulting service are to describe the structure of diseases in population in the project areas, describe the morbidity and mortality situation of communicable diseases in the project areas, collect and explore the implementation of mechanism and policies related to CDC, describe actual status of human working in CDC in the project areas, describe current situation of physical infrastructure, medical equipment relating to CDC in the project areas, describe situation of CDC activities in the project areas.

Strengthening the awareness of women on cervical cancer combined with supports for screening and treatment of cases in Thai Binh province

 

The project was conducted in Thai Binh.
The purpose of the project was to improve the awareness and behavior of women and girls aged 11-14 on cervical cancer in the project sites, reduce the rate of women with cervical cancer through the IEC activities, screening and treatment of abnormal cases.
