Project description (in brief):
The survey was conducted in Hanoi, Hue and HCM city with the aim to assess the need of target groups in cancer control communication, and to propose an evidence for development of an appropriate and effective communication strategy on cancer control.
Study subjects: Leader of the Health Communication and Education centers, Leader of K hospital Ha Noi.
Leader of the province/city Health Communication and Education centers, leaders of the provincial PM centers, leaders of the provincial food hygiene and safety departments or departments of food hygiene and safety and nutrition of the provincial PM centers, leaders of the occupational health departments, leaders of the district hospitals, managers of the internal medicine departments at the district hospital.
Household or sponse of household, age from 18-60, with sufficient capacity in answering the study questions, leader of CHCs, curing staffs at CHCs, HWs

Practical work done by the institution’s staff:
- Designing study, including survey tools
- Quantitative and qualitative survey
- Processing data and writing report

Midterm review on maternal and neonatal mortality reduction program in 7 project provinces

 

The survey was conducted in 7 project provinces in order to assess the effectiveness of interventions and impacts of the program at the localities. And to propose recommendations for related agencies to promptly supplement, adjust the interventional strategies to achieve the objectives of the program.

National survey on surveillance system of infectious diseases with the focus of EWARS in 16 provinces of Vietnam

 

- The survey was conducted in 16 provinces including An Giang, Hoa Binh, Tra Vinh, Đac Lak, Son La, Lao Cai, Tay Ninh, Lang Son, Hoa Binh, Tuyen Quang, Ha Nam, Thai Binh, Quang Tri, Khanh Hoa, Ba Ria Vung Tau, Kon Tum.
- A quantitative combined qualitative study aims to collect information related to supervision of communicable diseases including influenza A H5N1/H1N1at provincial preventive medicine centers, provincial hospital, center for border quarantine, district preventive medicine centers, district hospitals, communal health centers.

Actual situation study on maternal and newborn mortality in the 14 project provinces

 

- The survey was conducted in 14 project provinces including Lai Chau, Dien Bien, Son La, Lao Cai, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Lang Son, Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen, Bac Giang, Gia Lai, Dac Lak, Dak Nong, Lam Dong.
- Designing the study proposal and training for investigators.
- The fieldwork aims to collect information on KAP of mothers and inhabitants on safe motherhood and family planning.

Baseline survey on reduction in maternal and infant mortality at 14 provinces

 

- The survey was conducted in 14 provinces: Lai Chau, Dien Bien, Son La, Lao Cai, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Lang Son, Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen, Bac Giang, Gia Lai, Dac Lak, Dak Nong, Lam Dong.
- Designing study, training for researchers.
- Doing the field work to collect data about KAP of mothers on safe motherhood, family planning; reproductive health care equipment at health facilities.

Assessment on some harm reduction models for HIV prevention in 5 provinces of Viet Nam

 

- The survey was conducted in Ha Noi, Lang Son, Ha Tinh, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Can Tho provinces.
- This is a quantitative combined qualitative study to assess the model of harm reduction in HIV prevention and control.
