Project description (in brief):
Baseline surveys were implemented in 8 coastal north central provinces, including Da Nang City, Binh Đinh, Binh Thuan, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Phu Yen, Quang Nam and Quang Ngai provinces.
The survey has studied, collected information and data processed the models and trends of diseases in the project areas; capacity of services providing according to technical decentralization of selected provincial general hospitals, local general hospitals and health clinic networks; referral information of health facilities; issues on reducing the load for provincial general hospitals; information of facilities and equipment of all target provincial general hospitals, local general hospitals and district general hospitals…; knowledge and practice on healthcare and children care of women in the age of 15-49 having children under five years old…
Practical work done by the institution’s staff:
- Design survey, includes tool kit for the survey
- Field trip and in-depth interview objectives of the study in 8 target provinces
- Study related policies and research documents
- Develop logical framework, including project evaluation and supervision indicators
- Develop project supervision plan
- Data process and report on results.

Development of communication messages and materials for the project of health support in the Northern mountainous provinces

 

Determine the demand and prior contents for communication on health support for the poor in 7 northern mountainous provinces. Develop communication materials and strategies. Train for educators in 7 provinces.
Provide samples of communication materials and technical assistance for the provinces to design and print communication materials.

Reviewing of policies and status of health workforce development in medical service system in Vietnam

 

The survey was conducted in Ha Noi, Thua Thien Hue, Ho Chi Minh city.
The indepth interviews were done with managers of hospitals, medical universities, health departments to collect the information on human resources, national and international policies related to human resources to find out limitations for improvement of health workforce.

Study on access to care, treatment, and support for children and women with HIV/AIDS among communities with higher numbers of ethnic minority people

 

The survey was conducted in Điện Biên, Kon Tum and An Giang to study the accessibility and utilization of care and treatment service for HIV/AIDS women and children in the ethnic minority community. The findings of the study will help the government combined with UNICEF and other donors to further information on the current situation and find out a comprehensive solution to improve the accessibility of HIV/AIDS women and children in the ethnic minority community.

CP7 end-line survey on provision and ultilization of reproductive health care services in senven UNFPA-supported provinces

 

The project was conducted in Thai Binh.
The survey aimed to assess the situation on RH care provision in 7 CP7 provinces after five-year interventions (2006-2010), in comparison with the baseline survey to determine limitations and learn lessons for the next phase.

Actual situation of palliative care service provision for cancer patients in Ha Noi, Hue, HCM city

 

TThe survey was conducted in HaNoi, Hue, TP HCM, with the aim to assess the situation on palliative care for cancer patients at hospitals and in the community.
Study subjects: Leader of the Health Communication and Education centers, Leader of K hospital Ha Noi.
Leaders of the provincial PM centers, leaders of the occupational health departments, RHC department of the district PM center, leaders of the district hospitals, managers of the internal medicine departments at the district hospital
Household or spouse of household, age from 18-60, with sufficient capacity in answering the study questions, leaders of CHCs, curing staffs at CHCs, HWs.
