Project description (in brief):
- The survey was conducted in 7 provinces Ha Noi, Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Đa Nang, Ho Chi Minh, Can Tho and An Giang
- Quantitative and qualitative survey with different subjects
- Quantitative interview 2.470 subjects in 7 provinces: Female sex worker. IDU, clients of FSW, PE of IUD, PE of FSW, owner of STDs treatment facility , owner of pharmacy, owners of bars/restaurants/hotels…
- In-depth interview with: staff of HIV/AIDS control project and staff taking part in programs, leader of related department (Police branch, Department of Labor, Invalid and Social Affairs), leader of PMC/DHC, peer educators, owner of pharmacy, owners of bars/restaurants/hotels..., owner of STDs treatment facility. Target groups: 2 FSWs, 2 IDUs and 2 FSWs’ client.
- Group discussion with 1 staff group, FSWs group, IDUs group, PE group, Providing needle/syringe and condom group

Morbidity and Mortality of HIV-infected tuberculosis patients in 10 Vietnam provinces

 

- The study was conducted in Cao Bang, Lang Sơn, Thai Binh, Thanh Hoa, Da Nang, Khanh Hoa, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh, Kien Giang provinces
- The aim of the study is to assess the proportion of TB patients infected with HIV and the proportion of HIV-infected persons infected with TB, and also to assess the effectiveness of usage of Cotrimosazone among TB/HIV patients.

Baseline survey on Knowledge, attitude and practice of providers and users on health insurance, RH care services and STDs, HIV/AIDS prevention in Cao Bang and Son La

 

- Do survey in 60 communes of 2 provinces Cao Bang and Son La supported by GTZ from 2007-2009 (30 communes each province).
- Conduct a KAP assessment on health insurance, RH care services and STDs, HIV/AIDS prevention of 215 service providers, 242 managers of Population/RH program, 362 educators, 600 women in reproductive age, 600 men and 600 adolescents aged 15-24.
- Conduct in-depth interview with 77 ones who are leaders of localities, managers of Population/RH program, HIV control program, health insurance program.

End-line survey in 11 UNFPA supported provinces of the 6th country program and the baseline survey in 6 UNFPA supported provinces of the 7th country program in Vietnam

 

- Conducted in 11 UNFPA-supported provinces of the Sixth Country Program and 7 UNFPA provinces of the Seventh Country Program.
- Assessed the infrastructure, equipment for provision of RH care services in 14 provincial hospitals (11 old provinces and 3 new ones), 14 RH care centers, 56 district hospitals, 420 communal health centers.
- Conducted a KAP assessment on provision of RH care services for women, adolescents of 1400 service providers.
- Conducted a KAP assessment on HIV prevention of 2940 adolescent, 2940 women and 2940 men in the 14 provinces.
- Conducted a KAP assessment on provision of RH care services for women, adolescents of 300 managers of RH care program, 300 managers of Population/RH program, 300 Population/RH educators in the 3 provinces of the 7th country program.
- Collected data were processed, reports were written

Baseline and endline survey on KAP of health workers in all-side prevention against HIV transmission in provision system of reproductive health care services

 

- The project has been conducted in Obstetrics and gynecologic hospitals at National hospital and 4 provinces.
- Survey on status of prevention against HIV transmission in above hospitals
- Interview KAP of health workers in prevention against HIV transmission

Baseline and endline surveys on child health situation and child health care in Nghe An province

 

- The project was conducted in Nghe An hospital of pediatrics, distric-level hospitals of Thanh Chuong, Tuong Duong, Dien Chau and 30 communes in three above districts;
- Survey on actual situation of provision in hospital of pediatrics and three district-level hospitals;
- Conducted a KAP assessment on provision of child health care services of 400 health staff in Nghe An hospital of pediatrics, district hospitals of the 3 districts and 30 communal health centers.
- Conducted a KAP assessment on child health care of 3000 women having children under 5
- Identified the rate, causes of death of children under 15.
