Project description (in brief):
The study described the situation on the knowledge, attitude and practice on seeking and utilization of medical examination and treatment and health insurance services of the poor and ethnic minorities in Cao Bang and Bac Kan; explored the situation on IEC activities to enhance the behavior of health protection for the poor and ethnic minorities in the project sites; found out the reasons and determined the influencing factors of seeling and utilization of the medical examination and treatment services of the poor and ethnic minorities in the project sites.
Practical work done by the institution’s staff:
- Designing the study, including developing the survey tools.
- Interviewing the target groups in 2 provinces.
- Developing communication materials to enhance the behavior on health care for the poor and ethnic minorities in 2 project provinces.
- Supervising the IEC activities in the project sites and assessing the effectiveness of the communication campaigns.
