    Project description (in brief):
    In order to have a basis for determining the status of and needs for should be met to improve the quality of preventive health services in the project provinces in generally as well as to increase the early detection and timely treatment of cervical cancer in particularly. A baseline survey is necessary to find out the baseline evaluation indicators for monitoring and evaluation of the project achievements after the interventions in the all of five project provinces.
    Practical work done by the institution’s staff:
    - To describe scale, methods and outputs of cervical cancer screening in the five project provinces in 2011 and the first six months of 2012
    - To assess awareness, capacity and tasks of health workers in charge of the program of cervical cancer screening in the project areas
    - To assess the use of existing National standards and guidelines for cervical cancer screening by health workers in the project areas.
    - To evaluate KAP of cervical cancer screening among women aged 15-49 years in the project areas
    - To collect the views of key stakeholders like MOH and directors of hospitals/reproductive health centers concerning the integration of a cervical cancer screening program into the existing health structures.
    - To identify the sites which are capable of cervical cancer screening in the project areas and to collect the existing IEC materials on cervical cancer prevention in Vietnam.
